Grant Application Procedure

These guidelines will be helpful in the application process.

  • An organization must be a nonprofit group, as classified by the Internal Revenue Service under section 501c3 of the tax code.
  • Applications should include a cover letter that introduces the organization and makes a strategic link between the proposal and the Foundation’s vision.  New applicants are encouraged to use the Keller Foundation’s grant application form with a cover letter.
  • The Trustees do not conduct personal interviews with applicants except upon the Foundation’s initiative.  They will review most grant requests annually in July with some periodic reviews occurring during the year.
